Diet Information

What is recommended in a diet for football players is basically starch, proteins, fruits, vegetables and some dairies. The whole food pyramid is recommended because it gives you the right amount of energy to play the sport. What is not recommended is sugary drinks and sugary foods because that will slow you down and will not help your performance. It will give you some energy but after an hour or so, you will start losing the sugars and your energy level will drastically die down. People think that energy drinks are good to drink before games but that is totally not true. It is best to hydrate before, drink a lot of water because that will keep you going. If you really are hungry and wanting to eat something, you can eat a light snack like an energy bar or an apple. You do not want to eat a heavy meal because that will slow you down.
